Lemon Resort SPA – a hotel on the water

Lemon Resort SPA is arranged in a landscaped location, on the headland of Lake Rożnowskie in Gródek nad Dunajcem near Nowy Sącz. The architectural form of the floating hotel, designed by QMODULAR, refers to the existing buildings on land, built in the 1970s, the communist times.

The Q-wave Superior – this is the name of one of the four floating hotel segments. The apartments are connected to each other by spacious terraces and attached to a floating trapway and then a pier that connects them to the shoreline. One hotel suite consists of 3 elements: a float, a main (lower) module and a roof module. The project in Gródek nad Dunajcem consists of 40 building modules and 20 floats. The form of the whole is compact due to the location of the investment – 50 meters from the shoreline of Lake Rożnowskie: due to this, the forces caused by the current, waves and changing water levels, are minimized and, most importantly: less noticeable to the hotel guests. The building is attached to the bottom of the lake by a masonry rope – when the water level rises, the rope automatically unwinds to the appropriate length. Platform attached to the bottom with steel dahlings – when the water level rises, the ring around the dahlings rises along with the platform. What convinces guests to choose Lemon Resort SPA are the 2-level suites with spacious terraces and large glass windows. Each of the 5 rooms consists of 3 elements: a float, a main module and a module with a mezzanine and a raised ceiling. The architect, designing the project, decided on such a solution that by fully glazing one of the walls, the hotel guest from every part of the room had a view of the lake and its surroundings, raising the ceiling gives the possibility to admire the view also from the bed located on the mezzanine.

The whole building has an intelligent management system that controls, among other things: lighting control, air-conditioning control, smoke detectors, pontoon flooding sensors and pontoon emergency pumps, recuperation, waste removel.

“The entire investment, finished turnkey to a premium standard, amounted to PLN 9 million. Floating on Lake Rożnowskie, apartments are the most attractive accommodation option at Lemon Resort SPA, which enjoys the greatest and unwavering interest from hotel guests. With an occupancy rate of 70%, we predict a total return on the investment cost within 3 years. This is realistic.” – states Przemysław Dados, Director of Lemon Resort SPA

Construction of the floating hotel took 3 months and was successfully completed in July 2021.
